This is the first update on NURC, the National Underwater Robotics Challenge. We’ve been working on this for a while and allow me to lay out some of the plans for this year. We started meeting a while ago and started out by prioritizing what we would need. We decided a claw and a new boat would be most important to create for this year. We decided to save time and money by reusing our frame from last year. Now the claw is mostly built and the boat is in the process of existing. We have named the robots. The ROV is Dr. Claw with the claw being dubbed MAD Cat and the boat is Inspector Gadget. Working together for the first time. Once they are finished, we shall begin testing in a pool. That’s all for this first update.
